Star Citizen 4.2 drops a new content chain tied to Associated Sciences & Development (AS&D) — a high-end human ship-weapons manufacturer with their own bond-villain answer to the regen crisis: take the deadliest fauna in the ‘verse and make it deadlier. Loot the Farro Data Centers on Pyro 4 for keys and kit, then ride the shuttle into the irradiated storm on Pyro 1 to breach a Lazarus Complex and wake an Irradiated Apex Valakkar.
This file covers 4.2 content that was still marked WORK IN PROGRESS in the source sheet (created PTU 4.2, 2025-06-19). Steps, loot tables and location counts may shift as the patch matures. Treat everything below as a field guide, not gospel — verify on the ground and cross-check the Further Reading before committing a run.
These locations play a lot like Align & Mine — a chain of steps that have you collect and use keycards in sequence. Weapon racks and loot boxes sit behind access-controlled doors, and each of the 6× Lazarus Complex sites lets one crew fight an Irradiated Apex Valakkar per server at a time. Expect these to get very sweaty.
Armed AS&D guards at every location. Add Irradiated Kopion and Irradiated Valakkar (Juvenile, Adult, Apex) at the Lazarus Complex boss fight — and expect armed players throughout.
Head to one of 10× Farro Data Centers on Pyro 4. Each is defended by 4 Attrition turrets, same as a bunker — destroy them, or park your ship in cover and roll in on a 🏍 or 🚗.
Grab a Maintenance Access Key from the aid-shelter-looking building between a landing pad and the ramp to the main courtyard (2h cooldown). It opens the Maintenance Room here for a Stirling Suit + Data Processing Key (safe code on a nearby computer — skips Step 2), or unlocks an ATLS Ikti Rad at a Lazarus Complex (you don't keep the ATLS).
Pull a Data Processing Key from the Data Analysis, Executive Lounge, or Storm Study Lab. Each door only opens with a living player/NPC in a lab coat detected — wear one, or knock out an NPC wearing one, drop them at the scanner, activate it and med-pen/med-gun them awake for the scan. Key is in a safe; code is on a nearby computer.
On the second floor Data Processing room, read the 5-digit code off a computer near the balcony and enter it into the “Restricted Facility Credentials Printer” screen on pillar “01”. ⚠ This triggers an alarm, opens doors and spawns a wave of armed guards. It takes a while — hit Continue halfway through.
Grab the Specimen Access Key from the printer and leave — preferably via the door furthest from the balcony, past the Data Analysis room. The other two doors lead toward guard spawns, which only stop once the printer finishes.
The rest happens on Pyro 1 inside an irradiated storm. Highly recommended: a Stirling Suit (bought or looted) for ☢ and 🔥; a Pyro RYT Multi-Tool with TruHold Tractor Beam + OreBit Mining attachments for boss loot; DeconPen (Canoiodide) to manage rads; and a lot of ammo for players, guards and fauna.
Go to one of 6× Transit Hubs on Pyro 1 (Lazarus Transport Hub Phoenix I/II/III, Tithonus I/II/III), sitting outside the distortion field that kills any ship or vehicle with a power plant — only the ATLS series works inside (yes, you can air-drop an ATLS from above the field). Each hub's shuttle rides into the field to a Lazarus Complex. Infirmary buildings let you set respawn (recommended). Armed guards + Irradiated Kopion, all hostile.
There are 2× ATLS Ikti Rad in peripheral buildings. Use the Maintenance Access Key from a Farro Data Center to pull a Battery (like the Align & Mine ones), drop it in the slot near the ATLS Ikti Rad Garage and press the two terminals at the same time to open the door.
Head to the Specimen Cache on the bottom floor of the main building. Access requires wearing a Stirling Suit (buy one, loot Data Center Maintenance, or take one off an NPC at the complex).
Use the Specimen Access Key on the container holding an 🥚 egg. ⚠ Like the key-printing process, this triggers an alarm and guards, and needs you to Continue partway through.
Grab the 🥚 egg (tractor beam not recommended) and carry it out to the tower at the end of the path in front of the building — same side the shuttle arrives — and set it into the base of the tower.
One Irradiated Apex Valakkar spawns, plus large numbers of Irradiated Juvenile and Adult Valakkar; the Kopion and guards remain threats too. The Apex has a 150m instant-kill ground slam (set regen nearby!). Shoot the green glowing spots or the mouth. At each ~1/5 of its health bar it points its mouth to the sky and gets struck by lightning.
Time to loot the beast. Pull 6× Irradiated Valakkar Fang (Apex) with a tractor beam and 15× Irradiated Valakkar Pearl with a mining beam on the barnacle-looking bumps along the body. Juvenile/Adult fangs and Kopion horns are also wanted by Wikelo. Two “one-way” freight elevators let you deposit loot and retrieve it at the adjacent Transit Hub.
| Material | Harvest | Turned Into / Uses |
|---|---|---|
| Irradiated Valakkar Pearl | Mining beam · body bumps | Wikelo Favors (15x) · Green Glowing Ana Armor (1x per piece, 4 pieces) · ATLS Ikti (10x) |
| Irradiated Valakkar Fang (Apex) | Tractor beam | Green Glowing Ana Armor (3x per piece, 4 pieces) · ATLS Ikti (5x) |
| Irradiated Valakkar Fang (Adult) | From Adult Valakkar | Prism “Irradiated” Laser Shotgun (5x) |
| Irradiated Valakkar Fang (Juvenile) | From Juvenile Valakkar | Prism “Irradiated” Laser Shotgun (20x) |
| Irradiated Kopion Horn | From Irradiated Kopion | Prism “Irradiated” Laser Shotgun (10x) |
Like Align & Mine, there's interesting loot at these sites whether or not you run the main objective — and most of the good stuff is behind locked doors. Same loot boxes and mostly the same contents as Align & Mine; the main difference is no Antium armor, with Stirling Suits replacing it.

Ten Farro Data Centers on Pyro 4 feed the key chain; six Transit Hubs on Pyro 1 each run a shuttle to a matching Lazarus Complex. VerseGuide has per-site pages in the source sheet.
Each is ringed by 4 Attrition turrets like a bunker. Farro Data Center IX is the one pictured in the source sheet.

CIG added a nice quality-of-life touch to the keys — you don't need to hold them to use them. Just use the slot and your character auto-equips and uses the key if it's in your armor/backpack (where it lands if you pick “store” on a key at a printer). This breaks if you hit the bug where you can't put items directly into your hand (which now seems to persist through death, likely item-recovery T0). If that happens, drop the key on the floor and pick “carry” to use it.
