The scattered surface settlements of Pyro — trading posts, mining outposts, farmsteads, homesteads, scrapyards and salvage yards run by the Headhunters, Citizens for Prosperity and XenoThreat. Stop in to trade, shop stores and stalls, pick up missions and loot, or hit a salvage yard for refuel and repair. Most fly under a flag of convenience; a few are shoot-on-sight.
Outposts are Pyro's small, planet-side hubs. Beyond a few tall docking towers, most are clusters of prefab buildings with a store or trade stand, harvestables to grab, freight elevators and cargo terminals for hauling, and — at the salvage and scrap sites — refuel and repair. Sites marked ⚖️ won't gate you at the door; sites marked ⛔ are XenoThreat-held, with turrets that fire on approach and NPCs that shoot on sight. Below, every registered outpost grouped by celestial body.
What the markers in the tables mean. Legality: ⚖️ lawful / non-hostile · ⛔ XenoThreat-held, hostile on approach.
2024-12-18: XenoThreat shoot on sight, on foot and turrets. Citizens for Prosperity and Headhunters outposts aren't hostile anymore. Outposts tend to have snipers in the tall towers even if you don't see any other NPCs, something to watch out for. A lot of outposts have landing pads, some offer services while others don't, not sure if that's intended or not. All outposts have various equipment meant to do certain things like distribute power, mine materials etc. that all use fuses — there are repair missions to replace broken fuses. As far as I can tell all the outposts are surrounded by turrets, most have both missile and ballistic gating ones, but all have at least ballistic gating turrets.
