Monox
Pyro 2 · Planet · Breathable · Terrestrial Rocky
Monox — Surface
Gravity 1G Pressure 646 HPA Temp 43°C
🏴‍☠️ Hostile NPCs 🔥 Hot 🌫️ Low Vis 💨 Wind

The coreless Monox, nicknamed for the toxic carbon monoxide in its part-oxygen atmosphere, bears the scars of old mining operations.

Lore: Second planet from the sun. Once a terraforming candidate, but its proximity to the volatile star made it too dangerous; outlaws took up residence when the corporations pulled out in the 26th century.

Factions: Citizens for Prosperity, Headhunters, XenoThreat

Surface Locations: Caves, Outposts, Derelict Outposts

Fauna: Desert Quasi Grazer (desert biomes)

Field Notes: The wild west in planet form — gorgeous landscapes dotted with blue lakes, trading posts, salvage yards and mining outposts, inhabited by ruffians.

Bodies 04 & Moons 5A–5G

The Pyro V System

The gas giant Pyro 5 and its seven moons — including Pyro 4, a former planet knocked into orbit by an ancient impact and now on a slow collision course with the giant it circles. Six of the seven are lifeless rock; every one hides outposts and Valakkar.

Pyro 5
Gas Giant · No Breathable Atmo · Hydrogen Harvesting
Pyro 5 — Orbit
Gravity N/A Pressure N/A Temp N/A
🗜️ High Pressure 🧑‍🚀 No Atmo 🌫️ Low Vis 💨 Wind

The largest planet in the Pyro system, Pyro V has a striking atmosphere swirled with shades of green and yellow.

Lore: Its outermost moon, Pyro IV, once orbited the star as its own planet before a celestial impact knocked it into Pyro V's gravity. Residents and travelers harvest hydrogen from its green-and-yellow atmosphere.

Field Notes: Surface texture matches Ignis (possibly unintended); appears distinctly red at distance when the clouds are culled.

Moons of Pyro V
Ignis
Pyro 5A · Moon · No Atmo · Terrestrial Rocky
Ignis — Surface
Gravity 1G Pressure 72 HPA Temp -15°C
🌫️ Low Vis 💨 Wind

This innermost moon of Pyro V is covered in deep canyons and dried riverbeds. No other signs of water remain on its desiccated surface.

Lore: A deadly sulfur-dioxide atmosphere and frigid temps, but a trace of oxygen occasionally draws visitors looking to resupply air reserves.

Factions: Headhunters, Citizens for Prosperity

Surface Locations: Caves, Outposts, Derelict Outposts

Fauna: Desert Quasi Grazer (dark brown biomes)  ·  red desert terrain.

Vatra — Surface
Gravity 1G Pressure 1091 HPA Temp -105°C
🧑‍🚀 No Atmo 🐍 Valakkar ❄️ Cold 🌫️ Low Vis 💨 Wind

The thick, high-pressure nitrogen-methane atmosphere of this moon hides a dark and eerie landscape.

Lore: Its atmosphere supports plants that subsist on hydrocarbons. Water exists only as ice — too cold to run liquid — and reportedly extremely bitter when melted.

Factions: Headhunters

Surface Locations: Outposts, Derelict Outposts, Sandy Caves, Rocky Caves

Fauna: Juvenile Valakkar  ·  mottled terrain, numerous impact craters.

Adir
Pyro 5C · Moon · No Atmo · Terrestrial Rocky
Adir — Surface
Gravity 1G Pressure 50 HPA Temp -5°C
🧑‍🚀 No Atmo 🐍 Valakkar 🌫️ Low Vis 💨 Wind

The crater-ridden surface of Adir is interspersed with rocky hills and jagged mountains.

Lore: Third moon of Pyro V. Jagged mountains and rocky hills dominate its crater-ridden, frequently-impacted landscape.

Factions: Citizens for Prosperity

Surface Locations: Outposts, Derelict Outposts, Rocky Caves

Fauna: Juvenile Valakkar  ·  a massive canyon spans an entire hemisphere — scenic views.

Fairo
Pyro 5D · Moon · Breathable · Terrestrial Rocky
Fairo — Surface
Gravity 1G Pressure 1665 HPA Temp -2°C
🐍 Valakkar 🌫️ Low Vis 💨 Wind

Frequent earthquakes rock Fairo, causing spectacular waves in its brackish seas.

Lore: Fourth moon of Pyro V — a hotbed of seismic activity, quaking almost constantly beneath a blood-red sky.

Surface Locations: Depot, Derelict Outposts, Sandy & Rocky Caves

Fauna: Juvenile Valakkar, Desert Quasi Grazer (tan equatorial band)

Field Notes: Blood-red appearance with crimson oceans.

Fuego
Pyro 5E · Moon · No Atmo · Terrestrial Rocky
Gravity 1G Pressure 470 HPA Temp -17°C
🧑‍🚀 No Atmo 🌫️ Low Vis 💨 Wind

High amounts of iron-sulfide in Fuego's soil turn it a livid shade of yellow-black.

Lore: Fifth moon of Pyro V — relatively temperate but still cold, with a mostly carbon-dioxide atmosphere.

Surface Locations: Derelict Outposts, Sandy & Rocky Caves

Deposits: Atacamite, Hadanite

Field Notes: Yellow-black desert with small green oasis patches and dark liquid pools.

VerseGuide ▸
Vuur
Pyro 5F · Moon · No Atmo · Terrestrial Rocky
Vuur — Surface
Gravity 1G Pressure 1294 HPA Temp 7°C
🧑‍🚀 No Atmo 🐍 Valakkar 🌫️ Low Vis 💨 Wind

The carbon-rich soil of Vuur supports unique forms of plant life that use crystalline carbon in their base structures.

Lore: Sixth moon of Pyro V — unusually warm for its distance thanks to a greenhouse effect in its dense CO2 atmosphere. Its crystalline-carbon plants were once prized by botanists.

Factions: Headhunters

Surface Locations: Acidic Caves, Derelict Outposts

Deposits: Dolvine  ·  Fauna: Juvenile Valakkar

Field Notes: Very dark terrain streaked with yellow; a white, uniform, mist-like atmosphere shrouds the surface from space.

Pyro 4
Pyro 5G · Moon (former planet) · Breathable · Terrestrial Rocky
Pyro 4 — Surface
Gravity 1G Pressure 455 HPA Temp -7°C
🌫️ Low Vis 💨 Wind

Astronomers theorize that in the distant past, Pyro IV collided with a planet-sized mass, warping the landscape and knocking it into the orbit of Pyro V.

Lore: Once the fourth planet from the sun. The impact destroyed its atmosphere; a new one has formed, but it is on a long, slow collision course with Pyro V and will one day crash in or break up into a ring.

Factions: Citizens for Prosperity, Headhunters

Surface Locations: Data Centers, Caves, Outposts, Derelict Outposts

Deposits: Igneous, Hadanite, Felsic, Atacamite  ·  Fauna: Desert Quasi Grazer, Grassland Quasi Grazer, Maroks

Field Notes: The nicest "planet" in the Pyro system by far.

Body 06

Outer World

The outermost planet, in the cold dark at the edge of the system — home to the orbital flashpoint of Ruin Station.

Terminus
Pyro 6 · Planet · Breathable · Terrestrial Rocky
Terminus — Surface
Gravity 1G Pressure 1053 HPA Temp -154°C
🏴‍☠️ Hostile NPCs ❄️ Cold 🌫️ Low Vis 💨 Wind

Terminus is a frigid, barely-habitable planet with a methane-laced atmosphere.

Lore: Outermost world of Pyro. Its nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere is technically breathable but methane and CO2 make extended exposure harmful. Proximity to Ruin Station makes it a flashpoint for gang power struggles.

Factions: Citizens for Prosperity, Headhunters, XenoThreat

Stations: Ruin Station

Surface Locations: Caves, Outposts, Derelict Outposts

Field Notes: The most backwatery part of a backwater system — dim sunlight, cold and near-constant storms. Not the most inviting place.
