Stations

The stations are the only places in Pyro you can spawn ships and vehicles, set your respawn, and sleep for the night outside of a ship. They're also where most shopping and missions start and end. Know which harbours carry what before you burn the fuel to reach them.

Pyro Stations

Faction: Rough & Ready.   Docking: 3 ports · 3 pads · cargo deck, refinery deck, ship dealer.

Located at the L4 Lagrange point of Pyro II, this dilapidated station was originally established by Pyrotechnic Amalgamated to supply their workers with fuel and other resources. Today, the fierce Rough & Ready gang uses the station to offer outlaws traveling through the system a place to stop for fuel, supplies and a bit of entertainment.

Notes: One of the "big 3" Pyro stations, with a complete set of features and facilities. Sits in a very dense & dark gas cloud.

Notes: The biggest former Pyrotechnic Amalgamated station in Pyro and the only one with a big bazaar. Lore says it's run by XenoThreat, but in-game it's all branded Rough & Ready. Sits inside the asteroid belt of Terminus.

On the Pyro Stations

Small stations don't have XL hangars, but do have one docking port. Large stations and some small ones add a Cargo Deck. Every station refuels.

The Pyro stations are characterful, but the design has a quirk: Pyrotechnic Amalgamated went out of business over 400 years ago, so these platforms should have been repaired and modified for a long time — yet their interiors are near-identical, with the same damage and the same repairs. Stations looking similar inside works better in the "factory fresh" aesthetic of Stanton; the more "Mad Max" look of Pyro makes the identical details stand out. Currently they're all very mild remixes of each other — essentially cut-down versions of Ruin Station, with Orbituary and Checkmate less cut-down than the rest.

Citizens for Prosperity are supposed to run four of the stations and XenoThreat one (Ruin Station) in the lore, but in-game every station wears Rough & Ready logos, guards and NPCs. Hopefully that changes at some point.
